At 6:30 PM, The commemoration for the
Worlds AIDS Day took place to honor all those who have
died of AIDS-related complications and all persons living
with HIV and AIDS, especially those served by APICHA.
Each one of them lives a life of patience and struggle.

Work in HIV / AIDS for the Asian and Pacific
Islander (A&PI) communities is made more difficult
by the chaos caused by recent events. With cutbacks
in government funding and intense attention given to
defeating terrorism, APICHA needs sustained support
from the community.
APICHA is like a home to our diverse communities.
It gives A&Pls access to healthcare and health education.
APICHA ensures that its prevention education work and
client services are delivered with cultural and linguistic
sensitivity. For APICHA, fighting the epidemic also
means working to end discrimination, silence and shame
about HIV / AIDS in our own communities. APICHA is all
of these.
On World AIDS Day, APICHA welcomes all
to its new home and, very soon, to its HIV / AIDS primary
care clinic. We welcome all those who need our services
and those who strengthen us and help us grow.
Until a cure is found, World AIDS Day must be a day
to renew our commitment to stop the spread of AIDS.
