WOMEN AND YOUTH PROGRAM

Women and Youth (WY!) hopes to promote sexual health education and testing among women and youth of color, particularly API women and youth, in NYC. It is composed of:

Women's Project

The Women's Project, for women of color, ages 25 and older, offers a variety of sexual health presentations, workshops and one-on-one sessions to be safe-sex smart and learn about how to protect yourself from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, with topics on HIV Basics, STI Overview, Safer Sex Negotiation, Condom Demonstration, and others.

Young People's Project

Through a series of public health trainings in outreach, facilitation skills, healthy relationship skills, HIV and STI basics, young people can learn to be leaders. They can develop their skills in engaging their peers in one-on-one conversations, and become resources to their peers through our volunteer program.
