Apicha Community Health Center has over twenty-five years of experience providing competent HIV/AIDS services in New York City. At Apicha, we have several medical providers who specialize in HIV care. This means your provider will take care of your HIV needs as part of your overall health.
If you think you might have been exposed to HIV within the last 30 days and/ or you have symptoms of early HIV, request an appointment or call 212-334-6029. If you are an existing patient, please use our secure patient portal instead.
As an enrolled client, you will get a case manager, who can assist you with social services needs and entitlements if you qualify, so that you can focus on improving your health. We create a safe and comfortable space for you to discuss your needs. Our goal is to provide assistance in treatment adherence for those who are living with or are affected by HIV/AIDS. Advances in science have made it possible to prevent the transmission of HIV and reduce infection rates. This is done through PrEP, which is short for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis.
If you think you were exposed to HIV, there is also Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), which helps prevent HIV infection. If you think you need PEP, do not make an appointment online. Instead, call 212-334-6029 to make an immediate appointment.

SNAP stands for the “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program,” formerly known as food stamps. It is a program that offers nutrition assistance to over a million eligible, low-income New Yorkers including families, the elderly, and the disabled. A monthly supplement is provided to those who need assistance affording food and groceries.
